The imprisoned Presidential candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Selahattin Demirtaş, who has been held in Edirne Type F Prison since November 4, 2016, will be taken to the studios of the state channel TRT in the capital city of Ankara twice for his election speech before the Presidential and Parliamentary elections on June 24.

Selahattin Demirtaş, the first and only Presidential candidate of Turkey behind bars, will be taken twice to the studios of the TRT in the district of Oran in Ankara.
While Demirtaş's speech which will be broadcast on TRT on June 17 will be recorded on June 13 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., his speech to be broadcast on June 23 will be recorded on June 22 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Since the Presidential candidate of the main opposition party Republican People's Party (CHP) Muharrem İnce did not make an application to deliver an election speech on TRT, he will not hold a propaganda speech on the specified dates. (EKN/SD)
