Speaking at the weekly group meeting of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) today (April 17), MHP Chair Devlet Bahçeli recommended that the Presidential and parliamentary general election be held on August 26 instead of November 3, 2019.
In response to MHP Chair Devlet Bahçeli's call for an early election, Deputy Prime Minister and Government Spokesperson Bekir Bozdağ has said, "It will be evaluated by our responsible decision-making bodies. A statement will then be made."
Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül has also stated, "It will be evaluated by the responsible decision-making bodies." (PT/SD)
