Summary of proceedings has been prepared for Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Van MPs Adem Geveri, Bedia Özgökçe Ertan and Lezgin Botan on charge of “Propagandizing for a terrorist organization”.
Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the summary of proceedings was prepared due to their social media posts about Afrin operation.
Four MPs were prosecuted
On the next day of the operation that started on January 20, Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against HDP Deputy Co-chair Nadir Yıldırım and HDP Spokesperson Ayhan Bilgen due to their tweets about Afrin offensive.
On January 22, an investigation was launched against HDP Dersim MP Alican Önlü.
Lastly, Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against HDP Urfa MP Osman Baydemir due to his tweets about Afrin offensive. (AS/TK)
