Two statutory decrees, no. 693 and 694, prepared by the Council of Ministers as part of the State of Emergency (OHAL) have been published in the Official Gazette.
928 civil servants, 128 of whom are academics, have been discharged and three media outlets were closed.
Three associations, the only daily newspaper published in Kurdish in Turkey, Rojeva Medya, the Sujin women's news website and Dicle Media News Agency were all claimed to have engaged in activity against the national security of the state and were closed.
Movables and all sorts of assets, documents and rights that belong to the closed institutes and institutions will be transferred gratis to the Treasury.
Discharges
The highest number of discharges was seen in the following institutions:
Ministry of Interior and subsidiaries – 215
Higher Education Institutions – 172 (120 academics, 52 administrative staff)
Ministry of Justice and subsidiaries – 142
Land Forces – 106
Air Forces - 90
Naval Forces - 40
