Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Urfa MP İbrahim Ayhan has been detained at the GAP Airport in Urfa.
According to Doğan News Agency, the police told Ayhan that there is a detention warrant issued for him on charge of “terror propaganda” due to some of his social media posts. Ayhan was taken to the police station.
About İbrahim Ayhan
Born in 1968 in Van, Ayhan graduated from Department of Zootechnics at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. He served as HDP MP during 24th and 25th parliamentary terms. He was arrested as part of the KCK case on October 5, 2010. He applied to the Constitutional Ground on the grounds that his arrest “exceeded the reasonable time” and his “right to be elected was violated”. He was released with the arrested BDP Mardin MP Gülser Yıldırım on January 3, 2014. He is married with two children. (Ç/TK)
