Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP Nihat Akdoğan has been released.
Akdoğan was under arrest since November 7, 2016. Akdoğan was released on probation by Diyarbakır 4th Heavy Penal Court in the first hearing. With Akdoğan’s release, the number of arrested MPs dropped to 11.
Who is Nihat Akdoğan?
Akdoğan was born in Hakkari on March 9, 1980. He graduated from Anadolu University, Department of Public Administration. He carried out political activities as a member of the Democratic Society Party. He later became member of Peoples’ Democratic Party PA. He speaks Kurdish at very good level. (BK/TK)
