People’s Republican Party (CHP) Group Deputy Chair Levent Gök has said that they discussed whether the party will withdraw but they decided to remain in the parliament.
“This suggestion was brought forward from different sections of the society. The CHP continues its consultations with different sections of the society, however, it was decided at the Central Executive Board that such a move would not be appropriate. The CHP is dedicated to protect the parliament by using all the tools in its hand”.
Sayek Böke: We might withdraw from the parliament
People’s Republican Party (CHP) Spokesperson and Vice Chair Selin Sayek Böke had said that “This referendum must be re-held. We won’t act as if there is a constitution, which doesn’t in fact exist. We will exercise all sorts of our democratic rights for sure. ‘All sorts of’ involves withdrawal as well from parliament”. (YY/TK)
