The permission application that Newroz Organization Committee submitted to Diyarbakır Governorship for the celebration planned to be held in the Newroz area has been approved. The Newroz celebrations planned to be held at Kolej Square in Ankara and Bakırköy People Bazaar in İstanbul on March 19 have been banned by the governorships.
“We’ve set 37 central celebration places”
“According to Di Haber, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Vice Chair in Charge of Organizing and Newroz Commission Member Nadir Yıldırım said:
“Our good news will be the collapse of those who aim the annihilation of Kurds. In this regard, we can easily say that Newroz 2017 is of high importance. We will burn Newroz fire in over 100 places. If we face preventions, we’ve already set 37 central celebration places”.
The planned Newroz celebration schedule is:
March 17 Friday: Nusaybin
March 18 Saturday: İzmir, Bursa, Adana, Dersim, Antep, Malatya, Doğubayazıt, Manisa, Kocaeli, Siirt.
March 19 Sunday: İstanbul, Mersin, Antalya, Urfa, Yüksekova, Batman, Konya, Karakoçan, Kars, Hatay, Kızıltepe.
March 20 Monday: Muş, Cizre, Adıyaman, Iğdır, Bitlis, Hakkari, Ağrı, Bingöl.
March 21 Tuesday: Diyarbakır and Van. (NV/TK)
