Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has held a meeting with the journalists and columnists in the ministry building. Çavuşoğlu responded to a question about the event to be held in the Netherlands after Germany.
“I’m expecting news from [Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs] Bert Koenders. He will call today and we will make our decision based on that. If he asks us to ‘come after the [Dutch] elections’, but asks properly only because we will not bow to pressure, we may go on Friday or Saturday after the elections. If he doesn’t accept it, I will go there this Saturday”.
The general elections in the Netherlands will be held on March 15.
Çavuşoğlu went to Germany
After Germany precluding participation of the politicians from Turkey to the referendum propaganda meetings, Çavuşoğlu gave a speech on the balcony of the residence of Turkish Embassy in Uhlenhorst in Hamburg on Wednesday (March 7). (HK/TK)
