Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Dersim MP Alican Önlü has been released following the prosecution questioning after being taken into custody at Tunceli Courthouse.
Önal went to the courthouse to watch the trial of Dersim co-Mayor Mehmet Ali Bul, who is jailed pending trial.
Tunceli Heavy Penal Court had issued a detention to take Önlü forcibly on charge of “Propagandizing for a terror group”.
Önlü was detained on December 15, 2016 and later released.

Alican Önlü was born in Nazmiye district of Tunceli province on December 27, 1967. He served as Dersim Deputy Mayor and worked at People’s Labor Party (HEP), Democracy Party (DEP), People’s Democracy Party (HADEP), Democratic People’s Party (DEHAP), Democratic Society Party (DTP), Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and HDP.
