Peoples' Democratic Party MP İdris Baluken was taken into custody today (February 21) after being discharged from the hospital in Ankara and later been arrested.
After being arrested on November 4, 2016 and being released on January 30, 2017, warrant was issued again on February 17 to take Baluken forcibly to the hearing.
Baluken was taken to hospital on to have on operation on his leg on February 16.
13 of 59 HDP MPs are arrested
As of February 21, 12 HDP MPs including the co-chairs of the party are arrested. The MPs behind bars are; Selahattin Demirtaş, Figen Yüksekdağ, Selma Irmak, Nursel Aydoğan, Gülser Yıldırım, Ferhat Encü, Nihat Akdoğan, Abdullah Zeydan, Çağlar Demirel, Besime Konca, Meral Danış Beştaş, Ayhan Bilgen and İdris Baluken.
Warrant has been issued to take HDP Şırnak MP Faysal Sarıyıldız and Van MP Tuğba Hezer Öztürk who are currently abroad.
