The Animal Rights Monitoring Committee (HAKİM) has condemned two of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputies, Mihrimah Belma Satır and Gökçen Özdoğan Enç who held a banner reading “Warning! No Dogs Allowed” at parliament.
In its statement, the HAKİM said “Dog is not an insulting adjective. Do not play politics with names of animals. Immediately put an end to use animals who sustain a life far from hate, violence, exploitation for your ill-intended actions”.

It was alleged that AKP Trabzon MP Muhammed Balta was bitten by some CHP MPs during Constitutional Amendment talks in the parliament on January 11.
In yesterday’s (January 12) session of the talks, AKP İstanbul MP Mihrimah Belma Satır and Antalya MP Gökçen Özdoğan held the banner reading “Warning! No Dogs Allowed”. (BK/TK)
