The negotiations on the Constitutional Amendment Draft which gives the President executive power begun yesterday (January 10) at 3 p.m.
The results of the voting which started at 10.40 were announced at 11.40.
According to the results there were 347 yes, 132 no, 2 abstaining and 1 invalid votes of 484 votes used in total.
the General Assembly of the Parliament passed the first article of the draft.
The first article of the Constitutional Amendment Draft requires adding the word "unbiased" after the word "independent", to Article 9 of the Constitution.
The voting on initiating the negotiations of the articles of the Constitutional Amendment Draft presented to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) had begun on January 9.
