Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Parliamentary Deputy Chair Pervin Buldan has been released after appearing before judge in Bakırköy Courthouse.
Buldan had twitted “I have been detained” on her Twitter account this morning.
Buldan evaluated the situation to bianet.
"I didn't testify"
“Police came with two cars at around 9 a.m. I had a hearing in which I am charged with propagandizing for terror in a speech I delivered in Iğdır, and they said ‘We are going to take you to the hearing.
“They brought me to court but I didn’t give a testimony. I stated that 12 of our MPs are under arrest due to political decisions and added that I won’t be a part of this unlawfulness and won’t testify.
“I am one of the two women who administer the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey). When AKP’s parliamentary deputy chair Ayşenur Bahçekapılı was detained in German 10 days ago, this country’s president [Recep Tayyip Erdoğan] had said ‘No one can detain my parliamentary deputy chair’. However, I was detained today even though I am a parliamentary deputy chair.
“I asked for my words to be recorded and didn’t testify other than that”. (EKN/TK)
