The announcement planned to be made at party headquarters following an operation launched against Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs, has been made by HDP Spokesperson Ayhan Bilgen via Periscope in front of the building.
"We see the attitude against all our past and present detained and arrested executives as a political lynch, siege, crackdown and footsteps of fascism", said Baluken and made a call for solidarity.
Bilgen's statement is briefly the following:
"We've said that Turkey has entered a coup period after June 7 [general elections]. It didn't start on July 15 [coup attempt]. The decisions made by the parliament, especially paving the way for MPs to be tried, were an important piece of this coup period.
"Post July 15 incidents show that what mindset of the people who saw the July 15 as god's blessing" has targeted was exactly this".
"Our friends aren't interested in running away"
"Our friends who were detained last night are not interested in running away. We didn't go to testify because we wanted the coup conditions to be seen and known by everyone throughout the world.
"This country will eventually overcome these coup conditions. Coups happened in the past too. These days will pass as well. But this incident will be a disgrace in Turkey's history and politics.
"We see this attitude against all our past and present detained and arrested executives as a political lynch, siege, crackdown and footsteps of fascism".
"The process will be shaped by democratic circles increasing their voice"
"From now on, what to shape the future of this process will be the increasing voices of democratic circles, civil society, international public, and anyone favoring democracy in Turkey.
"We are calling everyone to be in solidarity". (BK/TK)
