Upon Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) bombing YPG (People’s Protection Units) positions in Maarat Um Hawsh and Tell Rifaat in northern Syria; YPG, Syrian Army, Cizre Canton Democratic Self-Government and the Revolutionary Forces ( a coalition of six other groups) have made a statement.
According to Hawar News Agency (ANHA), Kurdish Forces have reported that Turkey had been bombing regions which had been liberated from ISIS (Islamic State of Syria) and the Syrian Army has announced that it would hit Turkish jets if they violate the airspace again.
YPG: Turkey supports terror
YPG evaluating the situation commented “The State of Turkey has proven everyone that it supports terror”.
Noting in its statement that regions which had been liberated from ISIS were being hit by Turkey, YPG added; “we will support all revolutionary forces in order to defend our lands and people from gangs”.
Syria: Turkish jets will be hit
Syrian Army also stated “Turkish war jets which violate the Syrian air space once again, will be taken care of and hit using every means available”.
Saroxan: We have the right of self-defence
Cizre Canton Democratic Self-Government Executive Board co-Chair Ebdulkerîm Saroxan and the presidents of Cizre Canton Council held a press conference regarding the operations of the Turkish Army.
In the conference giving voice to the claims that the United States and Russia had reached an agreement on Turkey occupy the regions under control of YPG; Saroxan stated;
“We have the right to self-defence. We won’t stay silent against Turkey’s occupation. We will resist with all means available.
Revolutionary Forces: Coalition forces are in charge
Revolutionary Forces, consisting of “Ceyş El Siwar”, “Bab Military Council”, “Şehba Women’s Defence Front General Command”, “Aleppo Rural Area Tribal Forces General Command”, “Democratic Northern Brigade Command” and “Cebhet Ekrad Command” published a written statement.
Pointing out that Turkey had been fighting against ISIS for over six months in the regions where it has been launching operations, the Revolutionary Forces noted that the international coalition under the leadership of the United States was in charge of the operation. (EKN/DG).
