President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has spoken as to the recent developments at the High-Level Economy Meeting with International Investors held at the Presidential Palace.
“This incident [coup attempt] is not merely an incident that is planned, plotted inside. This incident is a coup act whose actors are inside but whose script is written outside”, said Erdoğan as to the coup attempt.
Erdoğan alleged that Western countries supported the coup.
“I am asking now; Does the West support terror or not? Does the West side with democracy or coups and terrorism? Unfortunately, this West supports terrorism and takes side with the coups. They don’t hurt as we do but it hurts us”.
Criticism against West
Erdoğan criticizing against approaches of certain countries towards the coup remarked, “As in our fights against other terror organizations, I must openly say that we couldn’t get the support we expected from our friends during and after the coup attempt. I am sorry to express that. In order to see this truth, it is sufficient to look at the reactions shown during and after the coup.
“If there is terror anywhere, we must advance upon it. If the international community cannot bring forward a consensus against such coups, I am sorry but this will return and hit those countries as a boomerang”.
Telecommunication Communication Presidency
“Not being able to have the intelligence as to the coup was caused by this organization starting its work by collapsing our intelligence agencies.
“You know, there isn’t only National Intelligence Agency but also Security Intelligence and Gendarmerie Intelligence. These intelligence agencies didn’t only inform the relevant authorities but also acted in hostility.
“For instance, we will close the Telecommunication Communication Presidency (TİB) because this is one of the places where host all scumbags. We will do whatever required as to its workers after closing it down”.
State of Emergency
“The State of Emergency (OHAL) situation in our country is being carried out in line with the European Union procedures.
“Firstly, what is this OHAL good for? It speeds up operation of the state.
“Secondly, we have initiated the process of restructuring the Turkish Armed Forces. If we don’t take this step, the Fethullahist Terror Organization members infiltrate the armed forces and aim at the people with the jets, tanks, artilleries which are purchased by the money that the people give. We must take this step”.
The Amnesty
“The International Amnesty insistently claims we are torturing. Tolerance to torture is zero here.
“The Amnesty makes its observations in London. If you have the slightest honor, you come to Turkey, first visit parliament, then special operations, security directorate, and then visit our martyrs at the hospitals and then you can see who did what to who”. (EKN/TK)
