Minister of Interior, Efkan Ala has stated that by July 27, 8,113 have been arrested.
15.846 have been detained and 10,012 of them are soldiers including 178 generals and admirals, 2.727 military officers, 7,106 other ranks.
According to NTV’s report, Ala has stated that 5,266 including 151 generals and admirals, 1,656 military officers have been detained in Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).
Efkan Ala has stated that 8,651 military staff have attended in the coup attempt and said that 1,676 of them are privates and non-coms, 1,214 of them are cadets.
Ala has also stated that 2,901 police officers in law enforcement agency and 2,167 judges and attorneys in judiciary have been detained, 1,684 judges and attorneys have been arrested. (EKN/UA)
