Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Co-Presidency has explained that the allegation that they demanded meeting with the government is wrong and “Kurdish existence must be openly recognized within the frame of democratization of Turkey”.
KCK’s statement released on the Fırat News Agency (ANF) is briefly as follows:
“Kurdish question can be discussed and solved with only a government of democratic mindset. Neither this mindset, not this character exists in the AKP (Justice and Development Party) government.
“This denialist, genocider and colonist mindset can only be overcome with the struggle of democratic forces, and that the Kurdish question can be solved by democratizing Turkey”.
Dolmabahçe agreement, political solution
“It is not possible to solve the problems by meeting with a government, which refuses the Dolmabahçe Agreement prepared with the efforts of Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan, the imprisoned leader of PKK) in İmralı.
“Leader Apo and Freedom Movement have preferred way for democratic political solution, and that did all sorts of sacrifices that fell to their lot.
“The AKP government has committed a gross crime against peoples of Turkey by instrumentalizing these negotiations and not solving the Kurdish question”.
Operations
“Since there is no policy for solution in the Kurdish question, an offensive of oppression and elimination is being carried out against Kurdish Freedom Movement getting more powerful inside and outside Turkey.
“Kurdish Freedom Movement will not meet with any political power anymore unless Kurdish existence is openly recognized, Kurds’ free and democratic life is accepted within the frame of democratization of Turkey”. (AS/TK)
