Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş has responded to Minister of Interior Affairs Efkan Ala naming the march call to Sur a “provocation”.
According to the report of Dicle News Agency (DİHA), Demirtaş has noted:
“Minister of Interior Affairs should know his place. If he thinks that he can make us take a step back by shaking his finger at us, he is wrong. We fear no one but God. And who fears this fascism is honorless and flagrant. If someone causes damages during the march, then this person is a provocator. And our people should avoid such people”.
Minister of Interior Affairs Efkan Ala had earlier said; “Whoever provocates is liable for the consequences. And our call to our people is that they should no way give credit to such provocations. We take every legal step to provide for their peace and safety. In the next days. we hopefully will establish an environment of peace and introduce it to them”.
