President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said “provocation, betrayal” for statement of Peoples’ Republican Party (HDP) Co-Chair, Selahattin Demirtaş on self-government.
Erdoğan has made statements at Atatürk Airport prior to his visit to Saudi Arabia.
Some of the featured points Erdoğan made are as follows:
“The certain co-chair expressed some deliriums after his visit to Russia with the influence of some prompts whispered to his ears. What this co-chair does is an obvious provocation and threat.
“Anyone who wishes to operate on Turkey has gotten their deserts, they will get that too”.
Investigation
“Neither the organization nor its puppet will be able to save themselves from the destiny awaits them. As you know, Diyarbakır and Ankara chief prosecutions have initiated the investigation. The other co-chair had many times similar statements before.
“These statements unfortunately come from an organization that has democracy in its name but not in its practices. They initially need to know this; will of people is stronger than arms but they don’t believe in parliament. They had started to say before June 7 elections that ‘We are a party that represents the whole Turkey’ but it is now disclosed that they are not a party of Turkey”.
Self-government
“On what grounds are you talking about forming a state in Southeastern and Eastern regions within a unitary state?
“As you know, Article No. 14 of our Constitution stands there to prevent such steps. You cannot take that step.
“Neither the national will nor security forces of this country allows it. What is necessary will be done”.
Operations
“The number of neutralized terrorists has exceeded 3,000. These operations will be determinedly carried on until terror in our country is completely eliminated and that peace and welfare established in the region”. (YY/TK)
