Şırnak Eğitim Sen President: Children being Used as Human Shield is a Lie

President of Education and Science Workers’ Union (Eğitim Sen), Serhat Uğur, has reacted against some reports alleging Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members use preschoolers as human shields in Şırnak.

“That is a huge lie!

“Life has stopped in Cizre, what are you talking about? So they used children as human shield, really?..”

Uğur emphasizing that the schools are closed said the schools are used by special operation teams.

“They really make fun of people’s reasons.

“You sent teachers away just two days ago, the schools are closed. Now they claim there are students there, being used as human shield…

“It is clear who uses schools, classrooms as shields: special operation team, gendarmerie, etc…

“We came to lecture…This is how it is from now on…The class is love for homeland, as they say!...”

"The press has no limits to lying"

Uğur stated that “a lying machine has started to run” within the period of war.

“It’s already been heard; the press has been subjected to a ‘regulation’. Now there is no limit to their lying, everyone is involved in it.

“May they not abuse our children for their interests.

“It is unbelievable. Whenever the subject is Kurds, the machine right away starts to run.

“The schools are closed in this war climate but even if not, what would the preschoolers be doing there?

“That is just a huge lie!”

What had happened?

Some newspapers today (December 22) reported that Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members planted bombs in the garden of Bahçelievler Kindergarten, it couldn’t be defused initially because of the children, and PKK members opened fire with long-barreled weapons by using children as human shields.
