AKP Leader Davutoğlu handed back his position to form 63rd Government to the President Erdoğan.
Acceptance protocol of the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is over. Justice and Development Party (AKP) Leader and interim PM Ahmet Davutoğlu handed back his position to form 63rd Government as Prime Minister to the President Erdoğan.
Closed to the press, the acceptance protocol lasted an hour and twenty-five minutes.
The presidency announced the decision. Davutoğlu had been assigned on July 9, 2015. It was declared that Davutoğlu would hand back his position on August 18, since he couldn’t come to an agreement with Republican People’s Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) during coalition talks.
