The Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) electoral bill that Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu made public today only mentions the “resolution process” once.
While the “resolution process” is mentioned in the bill’s “What We Have Done” section, it is absent from the part describing what will be done. The New Turkey Contract, also called the New Constitution does not feature the term “resolution process” at all.
The part of the bill featuring the “resolution process” is given below:
“Our Party, transforming every difference in its own historical and cultural depth into Turkey’s dynamism, has accomplished important projects to tackle many longstanding problems. Among these are the facilitation of our citizens’ use of their natural rights to religious, sectarian and cultural identity, as well as the start of the resolution process.
We have prompted important dynamics of societal restoration through the reforms we made in the periods of our government.” (AS/PU)
