PM Refers to Former PM to Support Homeland Security Act

“This homeland security act will pass, pass pass,” PM Ahmet Davutoğlu said during Justice and Development Party (AKP) meeting yesterday.

He also added that the postponing of the act draft talks at the parliament didn’t mean that it was “spread through time” or “given up”.  

Reminding the Kobane Protests on October 6, 7 and 8,  Davutoğlu said the following:

“So, you think we are going to remain silent against those who ignored our citizens’ freedom to life in those 2 - 3 days? We will take our measures. Nobody should have the impression that this homeland security reform will be spread through time or given up. This homeland security act will pass, pass pass.”

“However, we are giving all parties time for breath and reflection. Let them think, each one of them will make their determination with themselves,” he added. 

“This terror will either end or end,” then-PM Tansu Çiller said in her speech in 1993 on Kurdish problem and PKK. (EA/BM)
