People’s Democratic Party (HDP) formed a parliamentary group with the adherence of Peace and Democracy Party’s (BDP) members of the parliament.
With this transfer, HDP group has 27 members in the parliament now.
The ceremony was held in Gür Kent Hotel in Ankara. HDP’s co-chair Ertuğrul Kürkçü delivered BDP Şırnak Deputy Hasip Kaplan’s badge at the ceremony.
BDP’s co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, on the other hand, will remain in BDP until the BDP congress on June 8 and BDP Muş Deputy Sırrı Sakık will remain in the party until the Ağrı elections which will be on June 1.
Kemal Aktaş (Van), Aysel Tuğluk (Van) and Leyla Zana (Diyarbakır) are not able to join HDP because of their political ban.
Siirt Deputy Gültan Kışanak’s and Mardin non-affiliated deputy Ahmet Türk’s membership in the parliament were dismissed because of their mayorships.
