Detention warrants were issued for 13 active duty and retired military officers at the third wave of Feb 28 coup operations.
Third wave of Feb. 28 operations began in the morning of April 25th. The Ankara Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is leading the operation within the scope of Feb. 28 investigation.
According to the information of news websites, detention warrants were issued for 7 active duty and 6 retired military officers at the operations carried out in Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir and Kars.
Retired General Fevzi Türkeri was detained following a search of his Ankara home. He was on duty at crisis desk of West Study Group (BÇG) and he gave briefings to the members of the press at the Feb. 28 period.
At the first operation within the scope of Feb. 28 coup investigation, 31 people were taken into custody and 18 people were arrested including Gen. Çevik Bir, Turkish General Staff 2. President of the Feb. 28 period.
At the second operation, eight people were arrested including Secretary General of the General Staff retired Major General Erol Özkasnak(EKN)
