Two police officers and three soldiers have been killed in the attack carried out by Kurdistan Workers’ Party yesterday evening (July 27) in Hakkari and Siirt provinces.
3 soldiers killed in Siirt
Three soldiers have lost their lives upon detonation of an improvised explosive device planted on the road while a military vehicle was driving by in Siirt.
According to the statement published on the official website of the General Staff, the attack has been carried out yesterday evening (July 27) on Siirt-Okçular road and that PKK had detonated an improvised explosive device planted earlier on the road while a military vehicle which was supposed to provide security of the convoy was driving by.
2 police officer killed in Hakkari
In the attack carried out by PKK members in Hakkari with a bomb-laden car, two police officers have lost their lives and 11 police officers, one soldier as well as three civilians have been injured.
Hakkari Valiliğinden yapılan açıklamada, saldırının dün saat 22.30 sıralarında Merkez Depin Polis Kontrol Noktası'nda gerçekleştiği belirtildi. According to the statement made by Hakkari Governorate the attack has been carried out at around 10.30 p.m at the Central Depin Police Check Point. (ÇT/DG)
