The sub-commission formed under the Parliamentarian Human Rights Investigating Commission established to examine "the violations of the right to life in the scope of terror and violence incidences" met with the families of the disappeared in the International Week Of Struggle Against Disappearances.

The commission is headed by Justice and Democracy Party  (AKP) Amasya deputy Naci Bostancı and Republican People's Part (CHP) Tunceli Deputy Hüseyin Aygün, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Deputy Ertuğrul Kürkçü, AKP Adıyaman deputy Metin Metiner and Diyarbakır deputy Oya Eronat and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Kayseri deputy Yusuf Halaçoğlu are among the commission members.

The commission met with 50 families in Dersim, Siirt, Batman and Diyarbakır in 5 days and a report will be executed.

Naci Bostancı: The people who lost their relatives in this 30-year period are still in big pain. We didn't feel a big anger and hostility. They imagine and demand a Turkey away from such pains.

Hüseyin Aygün: It's been 30 years and these cases are still unsolved. The families of the disappeared demand the government to charge whoever is responsible. The citizens mostly complain about Uludere massacre, which created a major trauma. It's been more than 100 days and the perpetrators of this incidence are still not found. This led them to express their feelings of hopelessness to the commission.

Mehmet Metiner: They all demanded the government to charge whoever is responsible and that's a crucial demand. You cannot close this case before the justice is ensured. The confrontation process should be completed totally although there's a peaceful settlement.

Yusuf Halaçoğlu: All kinds of oppressions and persecutions should be judged and the issue of the time-barred cases should be eliminated starting tomorrow.

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Deputy Ertuğrul Kürkçü couldn't attend the meeting but he talked to bianet about his observations before.

"The people who lost their lives are all poor workers. The families of the disappeared could not get any support from the government to be able to live on. They all demand the government to charge whoever is responsible. They all demand compensation. The most important thing is they all want peace" (NV)
