Alcohol Removed from New Year Baskets
Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regularity Authority has ruled for the tobacco and alcohol to be removed from new year baskets at retail stores.
Tobacco products and alcoholic drinks will not be put in new year baskets due to the ruling of Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regularity Authority published in the Official Gazette.
The ruling includes the statement "Tobacco products and alcoholic drinks to be removed from the new year baskets that are put on market by retail stores that have tobacco and alcohol sales sheet received by our institute".
Regulation About Procedures and Principles Regarding Sale and Presentation of Tobacco Products and Alcohol's implementations about commercial, campaign, sponsorship and promotion and Articles no. 19 and 20 regarding sales and presentation of alcoholic drinks are shown as justification. (BK/TK)
