“From Erzurum resident, this homeland is ours” has been written in capital on Surp Takavor Armenian Church in Kadıköy, İstanbul. Besides, garbage has been dumped on church’s front door.
As reported by Agos weekly newspaper, examining the footage, the church administration has determined that the person who wrote the writing and dumped the garbage had come to the church during the rite previous day and caused disturbance.
The footage has been delivered to police and an investigation has been launched. Kadıköy Municipality condemned the incident and announced that the area has been cleaned. (PT/TK)
