Turkey's multilingual Nor Radio has announced to broadcast in its eighth language, Georgian. Established online in 2009, Nor Radyo aims to be give voice to the voiceless people of Anatolian and to promote multilingualism.
Nor Radyo's first program in Georgian, "Chveni Xma", aims to reflect the language, culture, music, history, cuisine and traditions of Turkey's Georgian people. The program is scheduled to air every Wednesday between 7 and 8 pm (GMT+2).
On its forth year online, Nor Radyo aims to broadcast in Anatolia's languages facing disappearance: Western Armenian, Turkish, Kurdish, Hemşin, Laz, Adıge and Chechenian.
Some of Nor Radyo classics, Solîn, Kurdane (Kurdish), The sound of Narts (Turkish), Şk'uneburi K'aidepe (Lazoli), Orn e Gantsni (Western Armenian) and Stories from Hemşin (Hemşin) were scheduled to continue during the new broadcasting year. (NV/BM)
