Mardin Governorship declared curfew in Dibek Neighborhood in district of Nusaybin, Mardin to be in effect as of 9 a.m. yesterday (September 30).
According to the written statement issued on Mardin Governorship’s official website, justification for the ban was cited as air supported operation to be launched in the region.
“As per relevant clauses of Law for Provincial Administration No. 5442; curfew was declared in Dibek Neighborhood in Nusaybin to be in effect as of September 30 2018 Sunday 9 a.m. until further notice”.
Mardin Governorship in a written statement declaring the curfew has said:
"An operation will be carried out in order to neutralize members of the separatist terrorist organization in the rural area of Nusaybin district, and destroy their shelters".
"In order to ensure security of the lives and property of our citizens residing in the area where the operation would be carried out, curfew has been declared in the area limited to the Akarsu neighbourhood which will be in effect as of September 4, 2017 Monday 01.30 a.m. until further notice".
