The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) has announced that airstrike and missile attacks were launched in Idlib, Syria, killing one soldier, wounding five soldiers and a civilian personnel.
The TAF stated that the attack was launched on observation plot no.6 in Idlib.
Infantry Lieutenant Ahmet Aktepe lost his life yesterday (February 5) during the Afrin operation. Aktepe will be interred in Erzurum tomorrow.
Besides, State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) personnel Mahmut Pakyürek, who was injured in an attack launched on a convoy on the move, lost his life in Gülhane Training and Research Hospital where he was being treated.
In his statement yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister and Government Spokesperson Bekir Bozdağ said, "We have 13 martyrs and 39 wounded since the beginning of Operation Olive Branch. There are also 30 martyrs and 158 wounded among the FSA (Free Syrian Army) members". Two soldiers lost their lives in the wake of this statement. (AS/TK)
