66-year-old retired V.S. has been arrested in Sakarya on charge of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” due to his or her social media post about Afrin operation.
Retired from municipality, V.S. was sent to court today (January 29) on charges of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization”, “inciting people to enmity and hostility” and “being a member of the PKK/KCK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party/Kurdistan Communities Union)”.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Interior, 311 people have been detained on charge of “terrorism propaganda” due to their social media posts about Afrin operation.
At least 15 people have been arrested in the first 10 days of the operation. (AS/TK)
