The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) entered Syrian city of Idlib last night (October 12).
It was reported that over 100 soldiers from Special Forces Commandership and Kayseri Commando 1st Brigade Commandership entered Idlib at around 10:15 p.m.
It was stressed in a statement issued on website of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) that the Astana process has been initiated under the guarantor countries of Turkey, Russia and Iran in order to maintain the truce regime that was announced in Syria on December 30, 2016.
According to Uğur Ergan from Hürriyet newspaper, Maroon Berets (Special Forces) and Blue Berets (Kayseri Commando) entered into Idlib through the areas evacuated by Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham.
According to the consensus reached in Astana, Turkish soldiers will perform duty at 14 observation points in western Idlib.
