One village guard in Van yesterday and soldier in Hakkari today lost their lives.
A village guard lost his life, another one was injured in an explosion of an improvised explosive device detonated in Çaldıran district in Van.
As the operation continued on Tendürek Mountain against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the device was detonated by the PKK members.
Village guards İsmail Deniz and Emrullah Çiçek were wounded in the explosion. As Deniz lost his life, treatment for Çiçek continues.
One soldier was killed in Hakkari
One soldier lost his life in an attack launched in Çukurca district in province of Hakkari.
The soldier was wounded resulting from the detonation of an improvised explosive device planted by the PKK members.
The soldier lost his life Hakkari State Hospital despite all efforts. The operation continues in the region. (NV/TK)
