IPS Communication Foundation/bianet organized a day-long Kurdish Journalism and Translation Workshop on September 2, 2018. This workshop is the third program of AtölyeBİA trainings.
The trainings took start with “New Media Workshop for Journalists” held from June 7-14, 2018. The second module, which was “News Workshop for Journalists”, was held from July 16-25, 2018. Trainers of the workshop were bianet Kurdi’s editors Murat Bayram and Ferid Demirel. The workshop had quota of 20 people due to lack of space.
Program of the workshop, which was shot but satisfying, was as follows:
Before noon
10:00-11:00 Introduction and press history of Kurds and Kurdish
11:15-12:15 Universal norms of journalism and Kurdish journalism
Afternoon
1:15-2:15 News items from Kurdish press
2:30-3:30 Kurdish news writing
3:45-4:45 Editing and translation in Kurdish news making
