The Out D’Or Awards will be distributed in a ceremony to be organized in French capital city of Paris on June 29.
Journalists, people and entrepreneurs who contribute in increasing LGBTI visibilityand fight against homophobia will be granted awards in the event organized by the French LGBT Journalists Association (AJL) in France.
bianet Women and LGBTI News Editor Çiçek Tahatoğlu was nominated in the category of “Foreign Press”.
The awards will be distributed in the categories of documentary, interview, (commercial) initiative, political identity in the award ceremony to be hosted by journalist Marie Labory (Arte) and comedian Shirley Souagnon (Jamel Comedy Club).
Inspired by the Glaad Awards in the US, the Out D’Or Awards is a first. Paris City Council, DILCRAH, TF1, France Télévisions, Radio France, INA, Facebook, Hornet and Libération are among the partners of the award ceremony. (NV/TK)
