Doğan Holding has announced that two of its executives Yahya Uzdiven and Eren Turgut Yücel have been taken into custody.
Uzyiden was the CEO preceding Soner Gedik. Yücel is still the chief legal advisor.
According to a report by Hürriyet daily's website, upon police carrying out a search in Doğan Corporate Group’s corporate office in İstanbul’s district of Üsküdar this morning (January 5), the company issued a statement:
“Of our Group executives Yahya Uzdiven and Erem Yurgut Yücel have been detained and their apartments were searched as part on investigation in which our previously detained Ankara representative Barbabos Muratoğlu”.
New statement by Doğan Holding
Hürriyet later updated the same article. According to the new update, the holding in its statement changed "executive Yahya Uzdiven" to "former executive Yahya Uzdiven" and noted that "the search was conducted in their appartments nad private offices, which have no link to Doğan Holding".
After a 14-day detention, Muratoğlu was arrested on December 15 on charge of “Aiding terror group Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ)”. (EA/TK)
