bianet, RSF Present ‘Who Owns the Media?’

IPS Communication Foundation/ bianet and Reporter ohne Grenzen, the German wing of RSF (Reporters without Borders) will represent the results of their joint project “Media Ownership Monitor (MOM) Turkey” today (October 27).

Besides the presentation of MOM project’s website, where the results of the project will be online, the topic “Media Ownership and Unemployment” will also be discussed at the forum which will be moderated by RSF Turkey representative Erol Önderoğlu.    

Project Advisor Nadire Mater, the director of Reporter ohne Grenzen Christian Mihr and Ireneusz Fidos, EU Turkey Delegation Head of Political Affairs will hold the opening speeches in the meeting to be held in Taksim Nippon Hotel in İstanbul.

MOM Project Coordinator Olaf Steenfadt,  project manager Dilay Yalçın and project researchers Elif İnce and Burcu Karakaş will present the website of “Media Ownership Monitor”.

About the project

The Project MOM has been launched and is being operated by the German wing of RSF, Reporter ohne Grenzen which aims at advocating freedom of press and the right to receive and provide information all over the world. RFS cooperates with regional partners in the project.
