10 TV channels including Hayatın Sesi, Azadi TV, Jiyan TV, Van TV, TV10, Denge TV and Zarok TV have been removed from TÜRKSAT, the national satellite platform, within the scope of the Statutory Decree.
While the channels haven’t been officially informed, the decision in question was taken within the scope of the Statutory Decree (KHK), according to the information given by Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) President İlhan Yerlikaya.
Hayatın Sesi announced that their broadcasting was shut down by Prime Ministerial instruction within the framework of the State of Emergency. The channel continues its broadcasting on Internet.
Announcement by Zarok TV
Speaking to İMC TV, Dilek Demirtaş from Zarok TV said “We haven’t been informed in any way. No notice has been issued. We met with RTÜK officials and they told us that this decision was made due to the KHK.
Zarok TV started its broadcasting life on March 21, 2015. Broadcasting in Kurmanci and Zazaish dialects of Kurdish, Zarok TV is the first and only Kurdish child channel. (HK/TK)
