Trustee Committee Stops Distribution of 5 Newspapers of Cihan Medya

New administration of Cihan Medya Dağıtım A.Ş. to which trustee has been appointed has stopped the distribution of Meydan, Yarına Bakış, Yeni Asya, Özgür Düşünce and Taraf newspapers.

The decision was conveyed to the newspaper administration last night (March 23).

Following the decision, the newspapers have reacted against the decision on social media.

Meydan daily Editor-in-Chief Levent Kenez has shared the message of Meydan daily as “We invoke our readers and anyone willing to support free press to buy our newspaper from newsstand”.

İstanbul 9th Criminal Judicatory of Peace had appointed trustee to Cihan Medya Dağıtım A.Ş. A week before the decision (March 9), it had come out that the building belonged to Feza Gazetecilik which embodies Zaman daily too was sold to Cihan Medya Dağıtım A.Ş. before the trustee was appointed.
