Evrensel daily and Hayat TV reporters tracking news at İstanbul Justice Palace in Çağlayan have been taken by police to police station at the courthouse.
A group of undercover police officers in front of the courthouse wanted to take the press text of the reporters following press statement of readers of Kaldıraç magazine.
When Evrensel reporter Eylem Nazlıer, Hayat TV reporter Zülal Koçar, and bianet reporter Beyza Kural objected, the press text has been grabbed by police. Police said “You can’t tell if you are press or terror lover” to Nazlıer objecting and saying she is a journalist. First Nazlıer was taken to police station in the courthouse. Koçar followed her for criminal check record. Police asked some photos in Koçer’s phone to be deleted but the photos remained with lawyers stepping in.
The journalists have been released following the criminal check record. (EA/TK)
