“AYM places itself in primary court’s position”
Erdoğan evaluating justified decision of AYM on Can Dündar and Erdem Gül has said he couldn’t read it because of his guests and added:
“I’ve heard that they pronounced 33-page justified decision. I believe they have difficulty in explaining the justification.
“I am fulfilling the responsibility incurred on me by Article 104 of the Constitution. Paying regard to the Constitution is indeed one of my essential duties. I have expressed my thoughts within this frame.
“The Constitutional Court has to wait for judicial remedy to expire in individual applications. The court in this instance has put itself in primary court’s position. It is not correct to come up with such ruling as it is Court of Appeals”.
“Has Ukraine called Russia to Crimea?”
Erdoğan criticizing Russia over Crimea matter said Turkey doesn’t recognize Crimea’s illegitimate annexation, and will continue to not recognize it.
“What Russia has done in Crimea is to trample on international law. Russia had said ‘Syrian government has called us to Syria’ as entering Syria. So, who called them while entering Ukraine?” (EKN/TK)
