Zaman daily headlined police raid on Özgür Bugün daily on charges of "publishing illegally".
The newspaper headlining "They stormed editorial office for three newspapers" has following statements:
"Turkish media was dealt eight separate blows after 24 hours of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said 'Freedom of the press is our red line' on CNN. While Zaman daily was subjected to police raid midnight, some journalists were fined, and others were sent to court".

What had happened?
Police officers had come to Zaman daily's building on Wednesday to investigate allegations that Özgür Bugün newspaper was published illegally by Feza Gazetecilik (Feza Journalism) printing press.
Lawyer of the newspaper Ali Odabaşı had said, "Even though on copyright page of Özgür Bugün newspaper writes it is published by Feza Gazetecilik, court issued a search warrant as it published secretly".

Parliamentary question by CHP deputy
After the raid, People's Republican Party (CHP) deputy from İstanbul Sezgin Tanrıkulu has issued a parliamentary question to be responded by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, "What is the justification of targeting a printing press which has no links with the newspaper other than 'publishing'?"
