Former Agos Weekly Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink will be marked on 11th anniversary of him being murdered in front of Agos Newspaper building where he was shot to death in Şişli.
An invitation video was released by Hrant’s Friends for the commemoration to be held at 3 p.m. today (January 19).
Various institutes and institutions continue their preparations for the commemoration ceremony.
İstanbul Security Directorate has announced that some roads in Şişli have been closed to traffic as of 11 a.m. for the commemoration ceremony that will start at 3 p.m.
Karşı Lig will play the match it will hold on January 21, Sunday for Hrant Dink.
Germany and England are marking Dink
Commemoration ceremony will take place at St. Petri Church in Hamburg, Germany at 7 p.m. on January 19.
Armenian society in Baden-Württemburg will memorialize Hrant Dink on January 21. Dr. Raffi Kantian will make a speech following the ceremony to be held at Luther Church at 1 p.m.
PEN England Center will hold a commemoration panel with the cooperation of Article 19 and Armenian Institute on January 19. US journalist Maureen Freely will deliver an opening speech in an event to be held in a venue called Free Word in London.
After that, Katie Morris from Article 19, Antonia Byatt from the PEN and Nouritza Matossian from the Armenian Institute will give speeches. (TP/TK)
