Managing Editor of Diken news website Fatih Gökhan Diler was taken into custody today (October 10). Going to the office of the website in the district of Şişli in İstanbul earlier in the day, the police said that they had an order from the Prosecutor's Office and took Gökhan Diler into custody.
Diler was first taken to the İstanbul Security Directorate on Vatan Avenue. He was then referred to the Prosecutor's Office afterwards. Diler has been released with an international travel ban by the court.

Digital Services Manager of daily BirGün Hakan Demir was also detained earlier today. The police raided his house at around 4 a.m. today and brought him to the İstanbul Security Directorate on Vatan Avenue.
Speaking to bianet, his lawyer Ali Deniz Ceylan stated that Hakan Demir was charged with "inciting the public into enmity and hatred" as per the Article 216 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK). After his deposition, he was been referred to Prosecutor's Office. Demir has been released on probation and with an international travel ban.
