Yeni Yaşam Editor-in-Chief Çağdaş Kaplan was detained in İstanbul on Saturday (October 6).
Referred to court on charge of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” on Sunday, Kaplan was released after he was deposed.
Lawyer Ramazan Demir wrote on Twitter that Kaplan was taken into custody due to his articles and social media posts.
“Journalist Çağdaş Kaplan was detained on charge of ‘propagandizing for a terrorist organization’ due to his social media posts, which include his own articles as well. He will be released after being deposed”. (ÇT/TK)
