Trial concerning killing of Agos Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink continued at İstanbul 14th Heavy Penal Court in Çağlayan Courthouse in İstanbul today (May 14).
Coming together in front of courthouse at 10 a.m. ahead of the hearing, Hrant’s Friends chanted slogans “For Hrant for justice” and “This trial won’t be over until we say so”.
The statement for the press read out by Bülent Aydın in the name of Hrant’s Friends is as follows:
“We are at justice watch once again to look after our case. 21st trial week, which is heard again, of Hrant Dink murder is starting. 72nd hearing will be held at 14th Heavy Penal Court.
"Launched on May 10, 2017, the investigation of the group mostly consisting of gendarmerie continues. Lawyers of Hrant Dink family will pose their questions to the then İstanbul gendarmerie intelligence officials. This trial had started with 20 defendants on April 20, 2007. 11 years have passed. It still continues with 85 defendants nine of whom are pending trial in jail and 10 are fugitives.
“We will continue to follow this case until true killers of Hrant Dink receive the penalty they deserve and all partners of this murder are called to account. This trial won’t be over until we say so. For Hrant, for justice”. (ÇT/TK)
